Bradley D. Harville (“Brad”) has been practicing law in Kentucky and Indiana for over 40 years and counting.  A 1985 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, he spent his first 3 years of practice with a small insurance defense firm in Lexington while his wife, Mary, followed him in law school.  After Mary graduated, they moved to Louisville in 1988, where Brad became an associate at the law firm of Landrum & Shouse from 1988 to 1991, and then a junior partner at the law firm of Kightlinger & Gray in New Albany from 1992 to 1993.

In November, 1993, Brad moved back across the river and opened his own office in downtown Louisville, and has maintained his own practice ever since.  He moved his office to Anchorage in August 2014, until closing this office at the end of December, 2025.

Over the last 15 years or so of his career, Brad made a very intentional and successful effort to transition his practice from insurance defense to representing plaintiffs in all types of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.  This has given Brad a unique perspective in getting cases settled, as he has a well-developed sense of how much authority an insurance company is willing to pay in any given case, as well as what is reasonable and fair from the plaintiff’s perspective, considering the costs and risks of taking a case to trial.  Brad estimates he has tried over 120 jury trials (he has lost count), both plaintiff and defense, and has participated in hundreds of mediations representing one side or the other.  Along the way he has used the services of many different mediators, and he understands how the best ones get the job done.

In 2006, Brad completed the 40 hour Civil Mediation Training course by ICLEF (Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum) in Indianapolis.  He is ready to put his mediation training and vast experience to work for you and your client to get your case resolved.
